Data Entry
The professional data entry department at CMDI will enter new records and record updates to existing records directly into the on-line database. As each record is keyed, a list of possible duplicate records already on the file will be presented to the keyer for review. This greatly reduces the chances of creating duplicate records. If you have a method of scanning your checks, CMDI will also link images of check contributions to the individual donor records. Processing of the campaign’s credit card contributions can be handled by CMDI as well using the campaign’s own merchant numbers.
Political Caging
There are a lot of caging operations to choose from but it is difficult to find one that is as aware of the FEC’s requirements and restrictions as CMDI. We cage using a batch method that makes finding a particular response document easy. CMDI will pull any “Exception” checks (business, PAC, partnership, over limit, no signature, etc) from the batch and place them aside for exception processing. After delivering the checks to the bank for deposit the client will receive detailed reports of the day’s activities.
Exception Processing
In addition to the initial compliance screening involved in the caging above, CMDI can handle exception processing. This entails returning illegal checks, processing over limit contributions as the FEC requires, and tracking follow up correspondence with the appropriate donors. Merge/Purge Processing
CMDI’s experienced data processing department will save you money and time on your next prospect list mailing. Upon receipt of your purchased lists, suppressions and instructions, CMDI will clean and dedupe even the messiest files. Within 48-72 hours you will have one prospecting list segmented by mail code according to your specifications.
House File Selects
Although Dexter gives you the flexibility to create your own direct mail selects, sometimes you need a more complicated segmentation. CMDI will create a house file mailing list in accordance with your segmentation and suppression requests.
